FURTHER SITE INV:  | Assessment activities are ongoing and details will be provided in a subsequent Form 27 Supplemental report. |
HOW REMEDIATE: | Laboratory data indicate that all confirmation samples were in compliance with Table 915-1 allowable levels or site-specific background levels for all requested analytes. Due to the SAR exceedance at sample location SS02@0.5', additional sample volume will be collected for the confirmation soil samples and will be analyzed for SAR to complete the waste profile. Groundwater was not encountered during excavation activities. Assessment activities are ongoing and details will be provided in a subsequent Form 27 Supplemental report. |

INITIAL ACTION: | On October 15, 2024, approximately 140 bbls of produced water was released into secondary containment from a hole in a temporary water tank at the Moser Fed 3-21HZ facility. As such, a Form 19 Initial/Supplemental Spill/Release Report (Document No. 403957849) was submitted on October 18, 2024, and the ECMC issued Spill/Release Point ID 488277. On December 10, 2024, following removal of the temporary tanks, soil samples (SS01@0.5’ through SS04@0.5’) were collected from the release area and submitted for full list Table 915-1 constituents to determine if soil impacts were present. Analytical results indicated that total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH), 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene (TMB), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH), sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), arsenic, copper, and selenium impacts exceeding the ECMC Table 915-1 allowable levels or site-specific background levels were present in the release area. The facility soil sample locations are depicted on Figure 1. The PID readings and soil sample results are summarized in Tables 1 and 2, respectively.
Assessment activities are ongoing and details will be provided in a subsequent Form 27 Supplemental report. |
RECLAMATION PLAN: | The site will be reclaimed in accordance with ECMC 1000 Series Reclamation Rules. |
SOURCE REMOVED: | Impacted soil will be removed and transported to a licensed disposal facility. Final disposal information will be provided upon completion of excavation activities. Disposal records will be kept on file and available upon request. The excavation area will be backfilled and contoured to match pre-existing conditions. |
