401001226 1 2016-03-10T00:00:00-07:00 0 0 true false false false false false 7 false On March 2, 2015, six sidewall soil samples (N01@4’, N02@4’, E01@4’, S01@4’, S02@4’, and W01@4’) and two base soil samples (B01@7’ and B02@7’) were collected from the excavation and submitted for laboratory analysis of TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC. Laboratory analytical results indicated that benzene and TPH concentrations in soil sample E01@4’ exceeded COGCC Table 910-1 allowable levels at concentrations of 0.318 mg/kg and 1,093 mg/kg, respectively. On March 4 and 6, 2016, following removal of additional impacted soil to the east of the partially buried produced water sump, four additional sidewall soil samples (N03@4’, E02@4’, E03@4’, and S03@4’) and two additional confirmation base soil samples (B03@6’ and B04@6’) were collected from the excavation for laboratory analysis of TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC. Laboratory analytical results indicated that TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC levels were in compliance with COGCC Table 910-1 allowable levels at the extent of the excavation. Approximately 240 cubic yards of soil were excavated and transported to the Buffalo Ridge Landfill in Keenesburg, Colorado, for disposal. The general site layout, release location, excavation dimensions, and soil sample locations are depicted on the Excavation Site Map provided as Figure 2. The soil sample analytical results are summarized in Table 1 and the laboratory analytical reports are attached.
