Confirmation soil samples will be collected from the excavation and will be submitted for laboratory analysis of TPH, BTEX, pH, EC, and SAR (if applicable). Surface water samples will be collected from the two ponds for laboratory analysis of BTEX. The analytical results and excavation details will be provided in a supplemental report. 400971452 1 2016-01-18T00:00:00-07:00 0 0 true false true false false false false On January 9, 2016, five surface water samples (SW01 through SW05) were collected from the northern and southern ponds and the connecting channel in between for BTEX analysis. The northern pond is frozen over and sample collection has been limited. Laboratory analytical results indicated all samples were less than the laboratory detection limit of 1.0 µg/L. On January 12, 2016, surface water sample locations SW01 through SW05 were resampled and four additional samples (SW06 through SW09) were collected from the northern pond and the outflow creek to the north for BTEX analysis. Laboratory analytical results indicated all samples were less than the laboratory detection limit. On January 13 and 14, 2016, two additional surface water samples (SW10 and SW11) were collected and were less than the laboratory detection limit. In addition, seventeen confirmation soil samples (SS01 through SS10 and SS58 through SS64) were collected from the perimeter of the southern pond and thirty-five surface soil samples (SS18 – SS20, SS24 – SS26, and SS29 through SS57) were collected from the western half of the spray release area and submitted for laboratory analysis of TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC. Confirmation samples SS01 through SS10 were collected in 50 foot intervals following surface scraping on the western shore of the southern pond due to visually observed impacts. No visual impacts were observed on the north, east, or south shorelines. Laboratory analytical results indicated that soil samples SS02, SS04, SS05, and SS08 exceeded the COGCC Table 910-1 allowable level for TPH. Soil and surface water sampling activities are ongoing at the site. The general site layout, release location, and soil sample locations are depicted on Figure 2. The surface water sample locations are depicted on Figure 3. The soil and surface water analytical results are summarized in Tables 1 and 2, respectively.
