Confirmation soil samples will be collected from the excavation and will be submitted for laboratory analysis of TPH, BTEX, pH, EC, and SAR (if applicable). The analytical results and excavation details will be provided in a supplemental report. The TPH concentrations in base soil samples B01@6’ and B02@6’ exceeded the COGCC Table 910-1 allowable levels at concentrations of 1,090 µg/L and 1,050 µg/L, respectively. On August 19, 2015, following the removal of impacted soil, two additional confirmation base soil samples (B03@7’ and B04@7’) were collected from the excavation for laboratory analysis of TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC. Laboratory analytical results for the base soil samples indicated that TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC concentrations were less than or within the COGCC Table 910-1 allowable levels. On August 25, 2015, following the removal of additional impacted soil, two soil samples (E01@4’ and E02@4’) were collected from the eastern sidewall for laboratory analysis of TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC. Groundwater was encountered in the eastern portion of the excavation. One excavation groundwater sample (GW01) was submitted for BTEX analysis. Laboratory results for excavation groundwater sample GW01 indicated that BTEX concentrations were in compliance with the CGWQS and less than the laboratory reporting limit of 1.0 µg/L. Laboratory analytical results for the soil samples indicated that TPH, BTEX, pH, and EC concentrations were in compliance with the COGCC Table 910-1 allowable levels at the extent of the excavation. Approximately 320 cubic yards of impacted soil were excavated and transported to the Kerr-McGee land treatment facility in Weld County, Colorado for disposal. The general site layout, excavation dimensions, and confirmation soil and groundwater sample locations are shown on the Excavation Site Map attached as Figure 2. The soil and groundwater sample analytical results are summarized in Tables 1 and 2, respectively. The laboratory analytical reports are attached.
