The compromised line and impacted area will be excavated. The excavated material will be landfarmed at the GV 2-31 well pad (COGCC location #335222). The excavated area will be sampled for hydrocarbons. WPX would like to ask for COGCC's permission to analyze the confirmation samples for an abbreviated list of Table 910-1analytes. The samples would be analyzed for TPH, BTEX,PAHs, and inorganics. Based on the initial investigation, the failure was caused by internal corrosion of the line. The line is buried 6’ below the surface and produced water migrated to the surface saturating a very small area around the correded hole. The depth of the impact is 6’ at the point of origin and approximately 4” on the hill side. The impacted soil on the hill side, along with the soil excavated to conduct the repair, will be landfarmed at the GV 2-31 well pad location, as stated in the initial Form 19. Samples will be collected from the excavated areas to confirm that the hydrocarbon concentrations are below the COGCC cleanup requirements.
