"B" Unit 1 (API: 123-07745) Reed, Next week is fine with me. After I sent the email I found an un-scanned CBL in our files that shows a squeeze from 735’ up to the Surface Casing Shoe at 232’. There was also a squeeze covering the Sussex (4000-5000 ft gross) but I didn’t write down the details. (We are scanning the document, it wasn’t available as of this email.) Anyway, this means the well will not need remediation. (Woo Hoo!) But, technically the well will need a Form 5 to report the cement work if we can find any documentation. "B" Unit 1 (API: 123-07745) Mike and Reed, Can one of you help me out with some information? In reviewing offset wells for the NGL Water Solutions NGL-C6A well (API: 123-40968) I found an old Amoco well that is now operated by Kerr McGee that I have questions about. 1. The Kerr McGee-Camp Lewis C. "B" Unit #1 was completed in October of 1973. The well is 280 ft from the bottomhole location of the NGL C6A. Only 232 ft of surface casing was installed in 1973. However, Amoco recognized that they would need to protect the Fox Hills aquifer (@ 659’ at the time) if the well went into production. Therefore they set the production string with an “Otis sliding sleeve” as stated in a Sundry (see enclosed) and promised to use it to cover the Fox Hills if the well became a producer. The well became a producer and COGCC does not have any confirmation of whether the Otis sleeve was ever actuated. Please have a look in your files to see if there is any documentation of a cement job through the Otis sleeve. 2. Amoco sold the well to Snyder Oil at the end of 1992 and a CBL was supposed to have been run by Snyder to verify the TOC (@6660’) claimed by Amoco. IF this log was run we never got a copy. WE DO HAVE A CBL SHOWING THE TOC @ 7280’ prior to the squeeze job that supposedly took the TOC to 6660’. Do you have a copy of the confirmation CBL (1993?)? If yes, please send us a copy. This question is important to us because if the Fox Hills Aquifer is not adequately protected we may require NGL consult with Anadarko/Kerr-McGee to do a remedial cement job on the well. We feel the Upper Pierre Aquifer is protected well enough by the cement in the 1st Casing String. Thanks for any help and please holler if you have any questions.
