Permit applications

BBC voluntarily agrees to the following fencing and netting Best Management Practices for pits at these sites.

Ø  Minimum three-strand fencing with no flagging or netting for active/operational drilling pits and/or cutting pits with where locations are staffed 24-hours per day.

Ø  Minimum six-foot high fencing with flagging for active (fracturing/flowback operations are ongoing) completion/water management pits and inactive cuttings pits containing free liquids.

Ø  No fencing or netting for inactive cuttings pits with free liquids removed.

Ø  Minimum six-foot fencing with flagging and one-foot exclusionary fence (e.g. minimum one-foot height silt fencing or fine mesh) along the base of the fence anchored to the ground (not buried) for inactive pits that remain open no longer than six months after on-site activities have ceased.  For pits not closed prior to six months, netting would also be installed.
