1) Notify the COGCC regional engineer 48 hrs in advance of MIRU at 970-259-4587 or mark.weems@state.co.us 2) Purge the flow lines, cut off 3’-4’ deep, and cap. Remember to check YES or NO on eform 6, Plugging Procedure tab, the last data field located at the bottom of the page and under the Additional Plugging Information for Subsequent Report Only. (COGCC Rule 1103) 3) Prior to killing the well, measure the surface casing pressure (Braden Head) a. Report the Braden head pressure (Note: Braden head pressure may require additional perf/cmt during the job) b. Blow down Braden head pressure, report time to blown down and the flow characteristics c. Continue to monitor the surface casing pressure throughout the PA d. Check for gas venting outside the surface casing (use gas monitor or flood the cellar with water and look for bubbles) e. Verify that there is no buried Braden Head (BrH) access valve below grade (DIG OUT all access piping/valves/ftgs one (1) foot below BrH to verify no shut in valves) 4) Pressure test casing(s) 5) Discuss the type of PA marker with the landowner (welded plate or post + well ID) 6) Leave a vent hole in casing/marker to avoid trapping any potential residual pressure in the casing(s) 7) If csg is cut & retrieved, then spot a 100' cmt plug half in and half out the stub Thank you…
