FURTHER SITE INV:  A site investigation will be scheduled to delineate impacted media vertically and horizontally.

HOW REMEDIATE:  Contingent on site assessment data and possible additional source removal an estimated timeframe to achieve a no further action will be December 30, 2022.

INITIAL ACTION:  On April 7, 2022 a release of <1 barrel of oil was identified from a pinhole leak near the base of the easternmost production tank at the Anderson Trust C 1 (Location ID 322691). The pinhole leak was plugged to stop the spill. During remedial excavation, 10 cubic yards of soil were found to be impacted. For this reason, Crestone reported the spill to the COGCC as required. Based on knowledge that the spilled material was exclusively hydrocarbon fluids, Crestone proposes to reduce the soil and groundwater analyte lists to Table 915-1 organics. Excavation to remove impacted and potentially impacted soil is currently ongoing. Soil will be removed and transported to a licensed disposal facility. Soil samples will be collected from the base and sidewalls of the excavation to delineated the vertical and horizontal extents of impacts. If groundwater is encountered, at least one sample will be collected and submitted for analysis of approved constituents of concern.

RECLAMATION PLAN:  Reclamation will be in accordance with COGCC 1000 series rules.

SOURCE REMOVED:  A limited source excavation was initiated to remove source impacts. A site assessment will be scheduled prior to August 30, 2022 pending landowner approval.
