| A dump line release was discovered during the plugging and abandoning of the Hart A GU #1 production facility. Following the discovery, excavation activities were conducted betweeen July 2 - July 3, 2014 and approximately 40 cubic yards of impacted material was removed and transported to the Front Range Regional Landfill in Erie, Colorado for disposal. Groundwater was encountered in the excavation area at approximately 7.5 feet below ground surface (bgs). On July 2, 2014, a groundwater sample (GW01) was collected and submitted to eAnalytics Laboratory in Loveland, Colorado for analysis of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX). Analytical results received on July 3, 2014 indicate constituent concentrations are in exceedance of the applicable COGCC Table 910-1 standards, causing this release to be reportable. |
