| On 01/04/2026 at ~7:30 pm, the driver from Circuit Trucking began loading oil at the LACT unit on the Bighorn CTB. After completing his checks and verifying his truck was loading correctly, he noticed the combustor started on fire. The driver immediately shut down the LACT and stopped loading the truck. A nearby contractor observed the fire, responded, and was able to use a fire extinguisher to extinguish the flames around the combustor. The driver disconnected his lines and all work was stopped on location. All notifications and emergency response was initiated. Walden Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched. The flames were extinguished at the time the fire department arrived. A small amount of oil was spilled in the immediate area of the combustor. The estimated volume of fluid spilled was less than 15 gallons. The combustor is out of service until repairs can be made. All contaminated soils will be removed and disposed of per regulations. |
