if work proceeding under an approved Form 27: | N/A | | | | Spill Description: | | A subcontract water hauler was hauling produced water from the CSF-U well pad (ECMC Location ID #335055) to the Roderick disposal facility when the truck driver noticed the valve on the water truck was leaking water as he was driving down the road. Once the driver noticed the leak, he immediately stopped and was able to cap the valve on the truck. The cause of the leak was determined to be a malfunctioning valve on the water truck. Based upon the truck volume noted after the leak was discovered, the contractor estimates that approximately 5 bbls of produced water was released on the road surface. The water was released in a thin strip down the middle of the unimproved road surface from the pad for a distance of approximately 1 mile. A cleanup crew was immediately dispatched to the location and the impacted area of the road was bladed, soils were collected, and impacted materials were taken to an approved commercial disposal facility. There were no impacts to surface waters. | | |
