if work proceeding under an approved Form 27: | 40803 | | | | Spill Description: | | On 7/01/2025, the potential presence of impacted material(s) was identified via hydrocarbon odor, and hydrocarbon staining on groundwater during decommissioning activities at the Moore 13-31, wellhead, samples: GW01, located at the wellhead flowline riser excavation. On 7/02/2025 hydrocarbon odor was discovered at sample FL01R-W, located at the wellhead flowline riser. The volume of potentially impacted material(s) is not currently known. Out of an abundance of caution, the operator is submitting notification within 24 hours of the discovery of the potential presence of impacted material(s) soil. Initial soil sampling is underway to determine whether any constituents are present at levels in excess of Table 915-1 standards. Groundwater was encountered during decommissioning activities and a grab sample GW01 was taken. This location is within the Bald Eagle Active Nest Site Half Mile High Priority Habitat and within 300 feet of waters of the state. | | |
