if work proceeding under an approved Form 27: | N/A | | | | Spill Description: | | While conducting wellhead plugging and abandonment and flowline removal activities at the Carma 14-35 wellhead, historically impacted soil was discovered adjacent to the flowline riser. The volume of the release is unknown. Per historically approved assessment activities, on 7/1/24 a verification sample was collected from FL-B10@4' and analyzed for benzene to verify the initial constituent concentrations. Analytical results for the verification sample indicated the benzene concentration at FL-B10R@4' is compliant with Table 915-1 and therefore a Form 19 Spill/Release Report was not submitted. Per the COA received on Form 27 Supplemental (403917273) on 9/17/24, verification sampling of organic exceedances is not considered valid. As such, KMOG has prepared this Form 19 Spill/Release Report to report the initial benzene concentration. Assessment activities are ongoing. The assessment details will be summarized in a supplemental Form 27 report (Rem. No. 35274; F27i Doc. No. 403760853). | | |
