About 170 bbls of produced water was spilled from a produced water tank due to a failed two-inch bull plug at the bottom of the tank. Wells supplying the location were shut in. Contractors were called to begin clean up. A backhoe was used to build temporary berms around the spill. Trucks were brought in to suck up liquids and all contaminated soil will be disposed of per regulations. A new two-inch bull plug was installed in the bottom of the tank. During clean up, the team verified that no oil left the tank due to skim oil being above fluid interface. | | |
