if work proceeding under an approved Form 27: | 32577 | | | | Spill Description: | | On July 20, 2022 the landowner notified KPK of the release at the 3 farms consolidation valve. The release occurred within the "Tin Horn" of the valve, and was caused by a valve seal failure. KPK dispatched crews to the site within one hour and immediately closed in the line, shut off the valve, and removed the source. Upon removal of the source KPK operators began removing free product from the "Tin Horn" (access to valve), and from the surface with a Vac Truck. On July 20,2022 MarCom personnel verbally notified COGCC staff of the release, and dispatched personnel to collect photos, coordinates, and begin an initial investigation. Upon clearance of the 811 locates KPK operators will begin full removal of impacted soils. COGCC will be provided with a 48 notice of confirmation sampling events, and a sampling plan will be provided in accordance to 915 requirements. | | |
