if work proceeding under an approved Form 27: | N/A | | | | Spill Description: | | The source of the release is from a condensate tank located inside an earthen secondary containment structure located at TEP's GR 32-34-696 production facility (COGCC Location ID 324068). The spill was discovered on June 24, 2022. The volume of the release has been measured from production records to be approximately 33.2 bbls (total fluid) which consisted of approximately 16.6 bbls of condensate and 16.6 bbls of produced water. Internal corrosion of the steel condensate tank is the cause of the release. Immediately upon discovery, TEP emptied the remaining contents of the leaking tank. No fluids could be recovered at the time the spill was discovered. The defective tank has been isolated and produced fluids have been temporarily routed to another tank on location. | | |
