if work proceeding under an approved Form 27: | N/A | | | | Spill Description: | | A compromised fitting on the underside of a separator resulted in a currently unknown volume of produced fluids being released inside an unlined containment. The pooled fluid ignited and the flames caused equipment damage to the separator bank. There were no injuries associated with the incident. The pad was immediately shut in and the South Adams County and Brighton Fire Departments were dispatched to extinguish the fire. AFFF (PFAS) fire suppressant was not utilized. A Form 22 (Doc# 403081924) has been submitted.
A waste characterization sample be collected and submitted for laboratory analysis. Depending on the analytical results, an updated analyte list will be proposed in a subsequent report. The impacted soil will be removed and hauled to a COGCC approved disposal facility. Confirmation soil samples will be collected and submitted for laboratory analysis. | | |
