if work proceeding under an approved Form 27: | N/A | | | | Spill Description: | | The source of the release is from a condensate tank located inside an earthen secondary containment structure. The spill was discovered on June 1, 2022. The production technician initially estimated that approximately 65 bbls of fluid was released from the tank. Upon further investigation, the actual spill volume was determined to be approximately 66.4 bbls (total fluid) which consisted of 31.54 bbls of condensate and 34.86 bbls of produced water. Internal corrosion on the insulated tank appears to be the cause of the release. Immediately upon discovery, TEP emptied the remaining contents of the leaking tank. No fluids could be recovered at the time the spill was discovered. The defective tank has been isolated and produced fluids have been temporarily routed to other tanks on location. | | |
