Spill Description:
On November 24, 2021, a TEP pumper discovered that corroded threads on an inlet-line fitting leaked approximately 4 bbls of produced water outside of containment onto the pad surface. Immediately upon discovery, the inlet line with the defective fitting was isolated and production fluids were transferred to one of the other tanks on location. A vac-truck was in the immediate area and responded quickly to recover ~3.5 bbls of produced water that had pooled in low spots near the point of release on the location. The inlet line has not yet been put back into service, as repair crews are trying to locate the correct replacement fitting. Repairs are anticipated to be completed by November 26, 2021. Once the repairs have been completed, the line will be pressure tested and placed back into service.
