| Spill Description: |
| During the lease operator's routine inspection of the tank battery location on the morning of 11/19/21, pooled water was discovered around the separator onsite. It appears that a fire-tube failure in the separator resulted in a spill of an unknown volume of produced water and crude oil. Surface staining indicates approximately 1 BBL of produced water was spilled; however, the total quantity that was spilled is unknown. The facility was immediately shut in and the separator was isolated and drained. Recovery of released fluids as well as vertical and horizontal definition of soil impacts is being pursued via hydro-vacuum, and clearance samples will be collected from the bottom and sidewalls of the excavation. |
