From initial investigations, spill looks to be mostly composed of compressor oil mixed with rainwater. Most likely rain from Tuesday night (9-14-2021) filled the containment reservoirs past capacity resulting in a spill from the reservoir. The ring has been shut down for the past week so it appears spillage stopped once the rain passed, the spill reached a maximum radial distance from the point of spillage of approximately 4 feet. A small puddle had formed on the SE corner of the ring and was recovered with an oil/water absorbent pad. Puddle volume was less than 250 ml. The remaining spill cleanup is in progress and is being dug up and will be disposed of properly. Further information will be presented in the supplemental report once the investigation is completed. | | |
