| Produced water (+ minor amount of condensate) was discovered in the lined, metal secondary containment structure at the MV 23-27 well pad on 8/13/21. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the condensate (i.e., mixed fluids) tank had a small hole in the base of the tank. The tank was emptied and fluid production was shifted to a different, on-site tank. A vac-truck was used to recover all liquids from the containment structure and the defective tank. It was also observed that approximately 1 bbl of fluids leaked outside of the containment structure along the NW edge of the containment. TPH field-screening values for impacted soils outside of containment ranged from 8 ppm to 127 ppm. The defective tank will be replaced, and the liner will be either repaired or replaced. A sample of the impacted soils will be collected and sent to the lab to determine if 915-1 cleanup standards have been exceeded. Soils from beneath the liner will also be evaluated for compliance. |
