During the evening of July 9th, a windstorm knocked the heater treater over, rupturing flowlines for adjacent separation equipment. 130 bbls (barrels) of produced water were released inside of containment. The entire release was held within secondary containment. The spill was identified on July 10th and both wells associated with the facility were shut in. A vac truck was used to remove fluids from the containment. 130 bbls of produced water were recovered. The spill location is not within Colorado Parks and Wildlife designated High Priority Habitat. | | |
