The Federal government is a significant land-owner in Colorado with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) acting as the manager. Permitting and regulation of oil and gas activities, however is the responsibility of both state and federal agencies. The EPA has delegated portions of water and air quality regulations to CDPHE and ECMC. Additionally the EPA has given delegated authority over Class II Underground Injection Control to the ECMC. |
