ORDER NO. 93-1

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on August 7, 1956, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 243, State Capitol, Denver, Colorado, after service of Notice of Hearing or appropriate waiver thereof, all as required by law, on the application of the Mazel Oil Company for an exception to Rule 317 of the Rules and Regulations of The Oil and Gas Conservation Commission of the State of Colorado, for a well to be drilled in the SE/4 SW/4 of section 20, Township 2 North, Range 54 West, 400 feet North of the South line, and 2240 feet East of the West line of said Section 20, in the Stony Point Field, Washington County, Colorado.  Previous testimony was also taken in this cause at a hearing on July 17, 1956.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That the drilling unit on which the exception is requested is located adjacent to producing units, and that the requirement to drill the well at the authorized location, as set forth in Rule 317 of the Rules and Regulations of The Oil and Gas Conservation Commission of the State of Colorado, would be inequitable or unreasonable.

 

4.      That an exception to said Rule 317 should be allowed for a well to be drilled on the following described location

 

Center of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (NE/4 SE/4 SW/4) of Section Twenty (20), Township 2 North, Range 54 West, 6th P.M., Washington County, Colorado.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an exception shall be granted for a well to be drilled in the Center of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (C NE/4 SE/4 SW/4) of Section Twenty (20), Township Two (2) North. Range Fifty-four (54) West, 6th P.M., Washington County, Colorado.
