REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

The Oil and Gas Conservation Commission of the State of Colorado has heretofore established 320-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of gas from the "D" sand formation of the Chappel Field, Sedgwick County, Colorado, with each unit to be the N/2 or the S/2 of any section lying within the spaced area, and the permitted well to be located not less than 1320 feet from the short sides, nor less than 660 feet from the long sides of the drilling unit upon which it is located.

On December 29, 1959, the Graham-Michaelis Drilling Company filed with the Commission an application requesting an emergency order allowing an exception to Rule 2 of Order No. 75-1, issued August 24, 1955, for a well to be drilled off the established spacing pattern.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That the Commission has jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

2.      That an emergency exists which requires immediate action to allow the drilling of a well to be located 1320 feet from the north line and 660 feet from the east line of Section 2, Township 11 North, Range 44 West, 6th P.M., in said Chappel Field, Sedgwick County, Colorado.

3.      That Applicant states that it is indicated by various geological data that the above location would be the proper location in which to drill a test well.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an exception is hereby granted for a well to be drilled Thirteen Hundred Twenty (1320) feet from the north line, and Six Hundred Sixty (660) feet from the east line of Section Two (2), Township Eleven (11) North, Range Forty-four (44) West, 6th P.M., Sedgwick County, Colorado.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that this order shall be effective fifteen (15) days, commencing January 11, 1960.
