CAUSE NO. 65

 

ORDER NO. 65-4

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 17, 1957, at 10:00 A. M., [sic] in Room 243, State Capitol, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider an extension of the area of the Atwood-East Field, and a possible revision of Field Rules governing production of oil and gas.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That the "D" sand of the Atwood-East Field constitutes a common source of supply of oil and gas underlying, in addition to the area set forth in Order No. 65-3, the following described lands in Logan County, Colorado, to-wit:

Township 7 North, Range 52 West, 6th P.M.

 

 

Section 18:  SW/4

Section 30:  W/2

Section 19:  W/2

Section 31:  W/2

 

 

Township 7 North, Range 53 West, 6th P.M.

 

 

Section 13:  SE/4

 

and that such area should be subject to the provisions of Order No. 65-3.

4.      That since the issuance of Order No. 65-2, which among other things, limits production of oil and gas, no detailed reservoir study of the "D" sand pool of the Atwood-East Field has been made, and, therefore, no revision of production regulations should be made at the present time.  Such revisions as may be necessary may be considered by the Commission at a future hearing upon application of an interested party, or on the Commission’s own motion.


 

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the area set forth above in the Findings shall be subject to the provisions of Order No. 65-3, and the Atwood-East Field shall henceforth include the following described lands in Logan County, Colorado:

Sections One (1) and Two (2), Township Six (6) North, Range Fifty-three (53) West, 6th P.M. and the Southwest Quarter (SW/4) of Section Eighteen (18), the West Half (W/2) of Section Nineteen (19), the West Half (W/2) of Section Thirty (30), the West Half (W/2) of Section Thirty-one (31), Township Seven (7) North, Range Fifty-two (52) West, 6th P.M., and the Southeast Quarter (SE/4) of Section Thirteen (13), the South Half (S/2) of Section Twenty-three (23), all of Sections Twenty-four (24), Twenty-five (25), Twenty-six (26), Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six (36), Township Seven (7) North Range Fifty-three (53) West, 6th P.M.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above rules and regulations.
