IN THE MATTER OF THE INVESTIGATION TO TAKE MEASURES TO PREVENT WASTE OF OIL AND GAS IN THE DUNE RIDGE FIELD, LOGAN COUNTY, COLORADO	) ) ) )	CAUSE NO. 54 ORDER NO. 54-3

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 17, 1957, at 10:00 A.M., in Room 243, State Capitol Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the Commission's own motion to consider whether or not it would be advisable to delete certain portions of the area of the Dune Ridge Field as defined in Order No. 54-1, dated January 6, 1955.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place, and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed Order.

3.      That on January 6, 1955, the Commission issued its Order No. 54-1 in Cause No. 54, Dune Ridge, establishing forty (40) acre drilling and spacing units for the production of oil and gas from the "D" sand, common source of supply, and defining the area to be known as the Dune Ridge Field.

4.      That subsequent development reveals that the West Half (W/2), with the exception of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SW/4 SW/4) of Section Thirty (30), and the West Half (W/2) of Section Thirty-one (31), Township Seven (7) North, Range Fifty-two (52) West of the 6th P.M., Logan County, Colorado, should the deleted from the Dune Ridge Field and included in the Atwood-East Field.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the West Half (W/2), with the exception of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SW/4 SW/4) of Section Thirty (30); and the West Half (W/2) of Section Thirty-one (31), Township Seven (7). North, Range Fifty-two (52) West of the 6th P.M., Logan County, Colorado, is hereby deleted from the area described in Order No. 54-1 of Cause No. 54, Dune Ridge Field, leaving the area of the Dune Ridge Field as follows:

Sections Four (4), Five (5) and Six (6), in Township Six (6) North, Range Fifty-two (52) West, of the 6th P.M.; and Sections Twenty-eight (28) and Twenty-nine (29), East Half (E/2) of Sections Thirty (30) and Thirty-one (31); and all of Sections Thirty-two (32) and Thirty-three (33), Township Seven (7) North, Range Fifty-two (52) West of the 6th P.M., in Logan County, Colorado.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal the above Order.
