REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on February 18, 1964, at 10 a.m., in Room 330, State Office Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, and mailing of copies of application pursuant to the regulations of this Commission, on the application of The Pure Oil Company, as Operator of the Adena "J"' Sand Unit, for an order permitting Applicant to inject water into the Adena "J" Sand Unit Well. No. 1 H. Glenn "D".

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law, and that all prerequisites to the granting hereof have been performed.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That secondary recovery operations in the Adena "J" Sand Unit should be continued to completion in order to minimize waste of oil and gas in said field, and that the recompletion and operation of the Adena "J" Sand Unit Well No. 1 H. Glenn "D", located in the SE¼SE¼NW¼ of Section 32, Township 2 North, Range 57 West, 6th P.M., Morgan County, Colorado, as a water injection well is essential for such purposes.

 

4.      That said well is located on the Unit within one mile of certain tracts outside the Unit, but, that injection of water in such well, according to expert testimony presented, will not adversely affect the correlative rights of any owner outside of said Unit.

 

5.      That the use and operation of said well as a water injection well will increase the ultimate recovery of oil and gas from said pool and prevent waste.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that The Pure Oil Company, as Operator of the Adena "J" Sand Unit, is hereby permitted and authorized to recomplete the Adena "J" Sand Unit Well No. 1 H. Glenn "D", located in the SE¼SE¼NW¼ of Section 32, Township 2 North, Range 57 West, 6th P.M., Morgan County, Colorado, as a water injection well.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions set out in Order No. 26-34 shall be applicable in the use and operations of said well.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above provisions.
