ORDER NO. 232-30

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on May 16, 1983 at 9:00 a.m., in Room 110, State Centennial Building, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Sohio Petroleum Company, for an order to remove the production restrictions as established by Order No. 232-23 for Well No. 20-4 Smith, located in the NW1/4NW1/4 Section 20, Township 2 South, Range 64 West, 6th P.M., Wattenberg Gas Spaced Area.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      Sohio Petroleum Company, as applicant herein, is an interested party in the subject matter of the above-referenced hearing.

 

2.      Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

3.      The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

4.      On July 18, 1977, the Commission issued Order No. 232-16 which restricted production of gas from the "J" Sand from Well No. 20-4 Smith, located 600 feet from the north line and 600 feet from the west line Section 20, Township 2 South, Range 64 West, 6th P.M., since the well was drilled off-pattern to the permitted well provisions of the orders in Cause No. 232 for the Wattenberg Gas Spaced Area.  On November 17, 1981 the Commission issued Order No. 232-23 which permitted the drilling of an additional well on each 320-acre drilling and spacing unit in the Wattenberg Gas Spaced Area.

 

5.      Testimony presented at the hearing indicates that the restrictions are no longer necessary; therefore, Order No. 232-16 should be rescinded.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that Order No. 213-16 providing for production restrictions on Well No. 240-4 [sic] Smith, located in the NW1/4NW1/4 Section 20, Township 2 South, Range 64 West, 6th P.M., Wattenberg Gas Spaced Area, Adams County, Colorado, is hereby rescinded.

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective forthwith.
