REPORT OF THE
COMMISSION
This Cause came on
for further hearing before the Commission on September 26, 1955, in Room 330
State Office Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing
as required by law, upon the application of the Continental Oil Company, and Oil
Company for an order from the Commission to delete the South Half (S/2) of
Section, a Ten (10) and the South Half (S/2) and Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of
Section Eleven (11), Township Two (2) South, Range Fifty-seven (57) West of the
6th P.M., from the area described in its Order No. 21-1, Badger Creek Field,
Adams County, Colorado.
FINDINGS
The Commission finds
as follows:
1. That due notice of
the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as
required by law.
2. That the
Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice,
and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the
hereinafter prescribed order.
3. That on September
8, 19~3, the Commission issued its Order No. 21-I in Cause No. 21, Badger Creek
Field, establishing 20-acre drilling and spacing units for the production of
oil and gas from the "D" and "J" sands, common sources of
supply under-lying said field, and defining the area to be known as the Badger
Creek Field.
4. That subsequent
development reveals that the South Half (S/2) of Section Ten (10) and the South
Half (S/2) and Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of Section Eleven (11), Township Two
(2) South, Range Fifty-seven (57) West of the 6th P.M., Adams County, Colorado,
should be deleted from the Badger Creek Field.
ORDER
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS
ORDERED, that the following order shall apply to the Badger Creek Field, in
addition to other applicable rules and regulations and orders of She Commission
heretofore adopted and not in conflict herewith:
Rule 1. That the South Half
(S/2) of Section Ten (10), and the South Half (S/2) and Northeast Quarter
(NE/4) of Section Eleven (11), Township Two (2) South, Range Fifty-seven (57)
West of the 6th P.M., Adams County, Colorado, be, and the same is, here-by
deleted from the area described in Order No. 21-1 of Cause No. 21, Badger Creek
Field, Adams County, Colorado, leaving the area included in the Badger Creek
Field as follows:
Sections Thirteen
(13), Fourteen (lb) and
Fifteen (15), the East Half (E/2) of Section Sixteen (16), the East Half (E/2)
of Section Twenty-one (21), Sections Twenty-two (22) and Twenty-three (23), the
North Half and South. west Quarter (N/2 & SW/4) of Section Twenty-' four,
the Northwest Quarter (NW/4) of Section-Twenty-five (25), the North Half (N/2)
and North Half of the Southwest Quarter (N/2 SW/4) of Section Twenty-six (26),
Section Twenty-seven (27), and the Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of Section
Twenty-eight (28), all in Township Two (2) South, Range Fifty-seven (57) West
of the 6th P.M., Adams County, Colorado.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission
expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or
repeal any and/or all of the above rules and regulations.
