REPORT OF THE COMMISSION
This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 19, 1967, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Mountain Fuel Supply Company for an order authorizing injection of water into the "A4H" sand of the Wasatch formation in a well to be drilled for this purpose and located in the SW¼SW/4, Section 29, Township 12 North, Range 97 West, in the Powder Wash Unit, Moffat County, Colorado.
FINDINGS
The Commission finds as follows:
1. That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.
2. That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.
3. That Applicant is the only owner involved in the proposed project, and is also the Operator under the Powder Wash Unit Agreement, and, accordingly, there is no agreement among owners regarding this project.
4. That the proposed operation will consist of injection of water, produced with oil in the Powder Wash Unit, into the Wasatch "A4H"sand in the proposed intake well to be drilled at a location 700 feet from the west line and 300 feet from the south line of Section 32, Township 12 North, Range 97 West, to aid in the recovery of oil from the "A4H" sand in the J.C. Donnell Well No. 4, the J.C. Donnell Well No. 6, and the Carl Allen Well No. 2.
5. That said proposed project, as presented by Applicant, will increase the ultimate recovery of oil from the Powder Wash Field and should therefore be approved as being in the public interest for conservation.
6. That avoidable waste of oil and gas will be prevented by the operations proposed by Applicant, and that in the interest of securing the greatest ultimate recovery of oil from said pool, and to prevent waste, this application should be granted.
ORDER
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that the project presented by Mountain Fuel Supply Company for the injection of water into the "A4H" sand of the Wasatch formation in the Powder Wash Field, through a proposed intake well to be drilled at a location 700 feet from the west line and 300 feet from the south line of Section 32, Township 12 North, Range 97 West, 6th P.M., Moffat County, Colorado, is hereby approved, and Applicant is authorized to inject water into said "A4H" sand through said intake well in such quantities as shall be reasonably determined by the Unit Operator to best achieve the maximum recovery of oil without waste.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective forthwith.
