REPORT OF THE COMMISSION
Pursuant to a hearing before the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission on March 31, April 27 and 28, 1998, in Suite 801, The Chancery Building, 1120 Lincoln Street, Denver, Colorado, and June 2 and 3, 1998, in the Rifle Town Hall, 202 Railroad Avenue, Rifle, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing, as required by law, the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission revised its Rules and Regulations to revise and amend certain Rules in the 500-Series - Rules of Practice and Procedure to expand and clarify procedural requirements including conduct of local public forums and hearings on well density applications. In addition, certain revisions to the 100-Series - Definitions; 300-Series - Drilling, Development, Producing and Abandonment; 600-Series - Safety Regulations; 700-Series - Financial Assurance and Environmental Response Fund; 900-Series - E&P Waste Management; and 1000-Series - Reclamation Regulations. Said Rules should henceforth read as attached Exhibit A.
Attached, as Exhibit B, is a statement giving the basis and purpose of the revisions and additions, and such statements are incorporated herein by reference.
