REPORT OF THE COMMISSION
This cause came on for hearing before the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission on September 25, 1995, in Suite 801, The Chancery Building, 1120 Lincoln Street, Denver, Colorado, after giving Notice of Hearing, for an order to increase the mill levy from one and one-tenth mill ($0.0011) to one and one half mill ($0.0015) per dollar value, as of October 1, 1995.
FINDINGS
The Commission finds as follows:
1. Due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.
2. The Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said notice and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.
3. Letters in support of the mill levy increase were submitted to the Commission by San Juan Citizens Alliance and Nancy S. Greif. A letter opposing the increase was submitted by Samson Oil Company.
4. Testimony presented at the hearing indicated a quarterly review of the COGCC budget should be presented to the Commission and that an annual review of the adequacy of the mill levy should be presented to the Commission.
5. The Commission should approve the increase in the Conservation Levy from one and one-tenth mill ($0.0011) to one and one-half mill ($0.0015) per dollar value effective October 1, 1995, and the mill levy rate should remain in effect until further action of the Commission.
ORDER
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, the mill levy rate is hereby increased to one and one-half mill ($0.0015) per dollar value effective October 1, 1995, and the rate shall remain in effect until further action of the Commission.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that a quarterly review of the COGCC budget shall be presented to the Commission and an annual review of the adequacy of the mill levy shall be presented to the Commission.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the provisions contained in the above order shall become effective forthwith.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above orders.
