CAUSE NO. 121

ORDER NO. 121-3

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 17, 1963, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of the California Oil Company, as Unit Operator, for an order approving conversion of the UPRR Well No. 3 to an injection well for the purpose of injecting water into the Lyons Sand in the Permian Age, in the area previously unitized by Order No. 121-1.

FINDINGS

The Commission finds as follows:

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

3.      That a program for injection of water into the oil section of the Lyons Sand pool underlying the Black Hollow Unit Area was approved by Order No. 121-1, and that such a program should be continued by converting to a water injection well, the UPRR Well No. 3, located in the NEžSEž of Section 1, Township 7 North, Range 67 West, 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, in order to increase the peripheral injection of water within the Unit Area.

4.      That according to geological and engineering information available, injection of water in said UPRR Well No. 3 will not adversely affect the correlative rights of any owner outside of said Unit Area.

5.      That the use and operation of said well as a water injection well will increase the ultimate recovery of oil and gas from the Lyons Sand pool of the Black Hollow Field.

ORDER

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the California Oil Company, as Unit Operator of the Black Hollow Field, is hereby permitted and authorized to convert to a water injection well the UPRR Well No, 3, located in the NEžSEž of Section 1, Township 7 North, Range 67 West, 6th P, M., Weld County, Colorado, for the purpose of injecting water into the Lyons Sand in the Permian Age.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above order.

ORDERED this 17th day of September 1963.
