ORDER NO. 112-15

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on April 17, 1962, at 10 a.m., in Room 132, State Services Building, Denver, Colorado, after publication and service of Notice of Hearing or receipt of Waivers of Service thereof, as required by law, on the application of the Durango Syndicate for an order authorizing, as an exception to the spacing patterns established by Order No. 112-6 for the Dakota and Mesaverde formations, the location of a well to be drilled in the SW¼ of Section 31, Township 33 North, Range 6 West, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado; and designating the W½ of said Section 31 as the drilling unit for the Mesaverde formation.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in full respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That geological information available to the Commission indicates that an exception to the spacing patterns established by Order No. 112-6 for the Dakota and Mesaverde formations should be granted for a well to be drilled 1320 feet from the south line and 1320 feet from the west line of Section 31, Township 33 North, Range 6 West, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado; and that the W½ of said Section 31 should be designated as the drilling unit for the Mesaverde formation.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that an exception is hereby granted for a well to be drilled 1320 feet from the south line and 1320 feet from the west line of Section 31, Township 33 North, Range 6 West, N.M.P.M., La Plata County, Colorado; and the W½ of said Section 31 is hereby designated as the drilling unit for the Mesaverde formation, and said well shall be the permitted well for such unit.
