ORDER NO. 103-2

 

REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

 

This cause came on for hearing before the Commission on September 26, 1958, at 10:00 a.m., in the Game Room of the Albany Hotel, Denver, Colorado, after publication of Notice of Hearing as required by law, on the application of Malco Refineries, Inc., for an order extending the area of the Buck Peak Field.

 

FINDINGS

 

The Commission finds as follows:

 

1.      That due notice of the time, place and purpose of the hearing has been given in all respects as required by law.

 

2.      That the Commission has jurisdiction over the subject matter embraced in said Notice, and of the parties interested therein, and jurisdiction to promulgate the hereinafter prescribed order.

 

3.      That the Mancos formation constitutes a common source of supply of oil and gas, and the Morapas Sand of the Mancos formation and the Mesaverde formation constitute common sources of supply of gas underlying, in addition to the area set forth in Order No. 103-1, the following described lands in Routt County, Colorado, to-wit:

 

Township 6 North, Range 89 West, 6th P.M.

 

Sections 19, 30 and, 31

 

and that such area should be subject to the provisions of Order No. 103-1.

 

ORDER

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, that the area set forth above in Finding 3 shall be subject to the provisions of Order No. 103-1, and the Buck Peak Field shall henceforth include the following described lands in Moffat and Routt Counties, Colorado, to-wit:

 

Sections Twenty-two (22), Twenty-three (23), Twenty-four (24), Twenty-five (25), Twenty-six (26), Twenty-seven (27), Thirty-four (34), Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six (36), Township Six (6) North, Range Ninety (90) West of the 6th P.M., Moffat County, Colorado; and Sections Nineteen (19), Thirty (30) and Thirty-one (31), Township Six (6) North, Range Eighty-nine (89) West of the 6th, P.M., Routt County, Colorado

 

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the Commission expressly reserves its right, after notice and hearing, to alter, amend or repeal any and/or all of the above order.
